Shipping Receiving Forklift Operator Jobs in California

Working knowledge of UPS, FedEx shipping software.

Based on “Pick-Tickets” generated by various KDS West administrative personnel, Shipping & Receiving coordinators shall obtain appropriate items from stock shelves.

If addresses conflict, Coordinators shall bring to attention of proper KDS West Dept. leadership to seek appropriate corrections.

Ensure that all inbound shipments & packages contain a Packing Slip.

Ensure that all inbound packages are directed to the appropriate departments within KDSW in a timely manner.

Responsible for overall cleanliness of warehouse floors & storage areas.

Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Must have passed yearly forklift certification testing.

Notifies supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.

Performs specific tasks of shuttles, pallet technician, E-ship and receiving clerk duties.

Obtains merchandise from Inventory Control to complete orders carefully verifying identifying information and quantities.

Loads & unloads trucks and various other material transportation vehicles.

Manage and control the stock room.

Assist the Parts & Accessories Manager in the buying process, which includes, but is not limited to,

Assist the Parts & Accessories Manager and Parts & Accessories team in floor moves, merchandising, and store set up.

Assist Parts & Accessories Manager with purchasing needs and inventory expectations.

Schooling or experience in shipping and receiving preferred.

Experience with Point-of-Sale and computerized inventory systems or the ability to quickly learn.

5 years + experience working in a shipping/receiving or professional office environment

Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment

Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability

Receive and unpack materials and supplies

Report damages and discrepancies to request reimbursement or re-shipment

Maintain logs of all shipments outgoing and incoming

Pack shipment to prevent damage and consult with parts personnel or Management with any concerns

Open a shipment received and inspect contents for hidden damage and notify Parts Manager A.S.A.P.

Check parts received vs. invoice/packing list and notify Parts Managers of any discrepancies

CDK Parts Scanning experience preferred

Prior Shipping & Receiving Experience

Receiving, inspecting and receipting all parts orders

4 years of shipping & receiving experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Manages Packing, Shipping, and Receiving departments.

Prior supervisory experience and experience with shipping & receiving.

Experience with Amazon domestic and International, E-commerce Domestic and shipping international to 80 countries

Professional and courteous interpersonal skills when interacting with vendors, customers and staff.

Strong attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.

Manage lab and building infrastructure functionality.

Manage laboratory utilities such as gases (N2, Ar, CO2), dry ice, ice, common solvents.

Develop and own a strategic facilities plan, proactively addressing space constraints and operational challenges.

Ensure that equipment and instruments are maintained and calibrated on time and to appropriate regulatory standards.

Coordinate the development, implementation, and preservation of key standard operating procedures and policies.

Analyzes and troubleshoots problems and performs necessary repairs.

Competitive Pay commensurate with experience and skillset ($18-20 base pay per hour)

1+ year experience in a parts warehouse or parts counter at a dealership

Previous experience with EVO preferred.

Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material

Proficient in warehouse management systems and pc environments.

Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills.

Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.).

High school diploma or GED, 1+ years of related work experience, or AA or higher and no prior related work experience.

Required to monitor facility conditions pertaining to safety and cleanliness.

Assists in fulfilling all orders from Manufacturing and ISS requests.
