6 months experience as a Quality technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Properly and accurately label daily samples, complete daily sample submission forms, and communicate to manage the daily sample lists.

Good writing, mathematics, analytical and critical thinking skills.

Intermediate computer literacy and experience in Excel and Word

Experience in food production, HACCP, FSMA, GFSI standards (SQF) preferred.

Comply with GMPs, HACCP and other Food Safety, quality, and security guidelines and strictly adhere to all Primal Pet Foods specifications.

Communicates any errors, accidents or incidents to Management and records in associated tracking and record logs.

Bachelor's degree in Science, and one to two years related experience and/or training.

Knowledge of MS Word and Excel

Familiarity with laboratory and medical terminology; training in the handling of liquid nitrogen and experience with pipettes and microscopy desirable.

Sample Qualification- post-thaw sample analysis with both manual and automated analysis.

Schedule - Wednesday-Sunday - 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Communicate defects to production managers and suppliers as required

Other responsibilities and duties as required while working at a dynamic company on the cusp of launching its first product

Poise, resourcefulness, aptitude for problem-solving, and the willingness to suggest alternative approaches based on experience and research

Experience in manufacturing assembly or quality inspection

Experience using and inputting data into computerized systems

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment

Recognize and correct basic analyzer malfunctions. Notify supervision/management, when appropriate.

Other duties as formally assigned by laboratory Management.

Participate on special project teams a requested by laboratory Management.

Employee must provide a current copy of the license to laboratory Management.

Responsible for maintaining licensure and continuing education as required per licensing agency and/or State.

Previous experience in Transplant Testing is not required.

Utilize construction and fabrication skills.

Hazmat Certification. 24 hour Hazmat Emergency Response Training and current certificate.

5-Years of Ammonia Refrigeration experience preferred. 2-Years of Boilers and Compressed Air experience preferred.

Perform routine and breakdown maintenance of boilers, air compressors, condensers systems and waste-water treatment system.

Performs Maintenance Tracking Sheet (MTS) inspections for the Mechanical Integrity of the Ammonia Refrigeration Systems.

Performs IIAR Bulletin 109 Inspections for the Ammonia System Equipment.
