About The Role

We are looking for a QA Technician to ensure the quality of our pilot builds and ensure our company remain compliant with industry regulations.

Overview Of Responsibilities And Duties

• Track manufacturing defects, issues, and resolutions reporting
• Communicate defects to production managers and suppliers as required
• Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team
• Performing inspections at random to assess product quality
• Reading schematics and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards
• Inspect, test, and approve incoming material for compliance with written methods and specifications (attention to detail is critical) and input inspection results into our Quality Management System as required
• Other responsibilities and duties as required while working at a dynamic company on the cusp of launching its first product
• Follows set guidelines and procedures for department/company processes
• Perform and participate in QA activities that include but are not limited to the following: receiving and inventory management, audit activities and assist with other departmental activities as needed and upon request
• Flagging products that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality
• Recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes

Qualifications

• Comfortable handling non-conformities
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
• Experience in manufacturing assembly or quality inspection
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with changing priorities
• Strong record keeping skills
• Experience using and inputting data into computerized systems
• Proficient with precision measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, etc
• Able to read blueprints and drawings
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

POSITION | EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• Days and hours of work may be variable depending on business needs
• Occasional evening work may be required as job responsibilities demand
• Contract full-time position

Physical Requirements

• Travel to vendors, conferences, company meetings, and other events may be required
• Indoor position that requires sitting at a computer for an extended period
• Exposure to moderate to loud noise and light as typical in a manufacturing environment
