(3 positions) 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday: 2:30pm-11:00pm PLUS a $1.75 shift differential

(2 positions) 3rd Shift: Sunday - Friday: 10:30pm-7:00am PLUS a $2.25 shift differential

Training personnel on inspection methods, procedures, and containment of nonconforming product

High School or equivalent training and/or least 6 months related experience preferred

Operate equipment requiring specialized knowledge of process.

Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and rebuild automated mailing equipment.

Set up the use of tools and equipment prior to production to ensure optimum safety levels.

Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure all machines are in proper working condition.

Learn and maintain proficiency on all applicable software formats/programs.

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

Performs recuts and additional stains including special and immunohistochemistry stains, as requested by a Pathologist

Operates computerized laboratory equipment to fix, dehydrate, and infiltrate with wax, tissue specimens to be preserved for study by Pathologist

Eligible for State licensure, if applicable

Ensures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.

Entry level, 0-1 years of work experience required; 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

CGMP or prior work experience in a regulated environment preferred.

Prior pharmaceutical or CDMO experience preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills required.

Perform live review of manufacturing batch records in preparation for batch release and escalate any discrepancies immediately.

Assist functional areas with achieving timely and compliant final product disposition of the product.

Review, approve and support procedures and production/testing records as required and assist in the training of site associates.

Ensure compliance of site personnel and application of aseptic techniques and full compliance to sterile manufacturing regulations.

Support FDA/Regulatory interactions for the site activities and products to ensure successful regulatory submissions and inspections.

Other related duties as assigned.

Comprehensive knowledge of the operation, capabilities, & limitations of complex controls/instrumentation.

Updates the computerized maintenance management system, SAP-PM, as necessary to maintain accurate plant asset historical records.

Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested by management.

Skill in troubleshooting controls and instrumentation problems on production equipment.

Must possess knowledge and apply electrical standards, including National Electrical Code and UL508a.

Must have working knowledge of data network, switches, routers and servers is required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required required.

QA experience in manufacturing, required

Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Schedule: Sunday night-Friday morning with opportunities for overtime

Performs in-process testing verifications, submits samples for testing, and conducts AQL as required

Approves pre-start-up activities and checks equipment for proper functioning

6 months experience as a Quality technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Properly and accurately label daily samples, complete daily sample submission forms, and communicate to manage the daily sample lists.

Good writing, mathematics, analytical and critical thinking skills.

Intermediate computer literacy and experience in Excel and Word

Experience in food production, HACCP, FSMA, GFSI standards (SQF) preferred.

Comply with GMPs, HACCP and other Food Safety, quality, and security guidelines and strictly adhere to all Primal Pet Foods specifications.

Familiarity with laboratory and medical terminology; training in the handling of liquid nitrogen and experience with pipettes and microscopy desirable.

Sample Qualification- post-thaw sample analysis with both manual and automated analysis.

Schedule - Wednesday-Sunday - 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Requires basic mathematical knowledge and computer skills.

Interpret sanitation schedule and plan time to accommodate requirements, setting priorities.

Work safely, follow safety requirements, and wear PPE where required.

Safe/skilled usage of a forklift if necessary.

Inspect products and equipment for conformity to sanitation laws and standards.

Compile required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.

Collect product/process samples and conduct appropriate analysis per SOPs/Work Instructions

Conduct analysis of data, provide opinion, and take appropriate action, document results

Operate and maintain all appropriate equipment

Sort and composite product samples for bacterial testing. Composite and ship samples to NQAC for testing.

Pull environmental and line samples for testing.

Run APC and EB plates on products and environmental samples.

Read plates and record results on paper and in SAP.

Sort and prepare samples daily for sensory analysis. Prepare and present products for flavoring for visitors and guests to the plant.

Maintain reference library of standards of all products for positive release.

Communicate effectively with Flexan employees and Management. Demonstrates all of the Flexan corporate values

Maintenance Technical Skills / Responsibilities

Cooperation and professional conduct with coworkers, staff, and managers.

Prior experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix Processors and RS Logix 5000. Understanding of control system design and network communication interfaces.

Must have solid knowledge of compressors, chillers and water softener systems.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate needs and demands in an effective manner.

Responsible for handling chemicals in compliance with organization, state and OSHA requirements insuring employee and public safety

Responsible for maintenance of all floor surfaces, and insuring that all floors are maintained in a high state of readiness

Responsible for mopping, buffing, and waxing applicable floor surfaces

Responsible for buffing high traffic areas and stripping and waxing floors on a scheduled basis

High School Diploma or GED required

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

2 years of experience as a multi-craft technician

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Degree in related field or specialized vocational technical school or equivalent experience

Experience with robotic operations and maintenance

Experience reading blueprints, electrical schematics, electrical and electronic principles

Ensure all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and in good, safe working order

Any combination of related post high school education and experience which totals two years.

Meets CLIA 88 requirements and qualifications to perform waived testing (point of care testing).

Two years of related laboratory experience including one year as a Laboratory Technician I or equivalent level experience, or

Certified Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification, or

Experience performing waived testing, including releasing test results.

Phlebotomy experience is highly desirable.

Previous laboratory experience is required
