Senior Underwriting Analyst Associate Jobs in New York

Assist Management with various tasks, projects, or new initiatives

Work collaboratively with production, UDS, asset management, legal and RDC throughout the life of the loan

1-3 years of Multifamily underwriting experience with an interest in affordable housing

Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Community Development or related field

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Modeling skills are a big plus)

Structured Products cover many Multifamily asset classes, including conventional, affordable, seniors housing, manufactured housing, and student housing

Manage all US policy requests via Multinational Program Management Platform in coordination with Starr Country underwriter

Handle special projects as assigned and meet required deadlines while fulfilling all other day to day responsibilities.

Strong multitasking and prioritization skills

-Advanced computer skills. Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

-Minimum 3 years working experience preferred

Assist in the preparation of asset management reports, investor communications and presentations to provide updates on asset performance and strategies.

Support with ad hoc acquisition, asset management, and other operational tasks as assigned.

1-2+ years of experience in a real estate related finance role – preferably acquisitions, investment banking, capital markets, or investment sales.

Strong Power Point skills with experience creating institutional-quality presentations.

Bachelor’s degree or higher from a leading university with a major in finance, economics, or related field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

1 to 3 years of experience in a finance function, preferably in a leveraged credit, investment banking or commercial banking environment

Portfolio Management: Actively monitors portfolio companies to identify risks and opportunities that may impact overall performance.

Strong analytical, financial modeling and research skills

Assisting the Underwriting Team in assessing new investment opportunities for the Firm

1 to 3 years of experience in a finance function, preferably in a leveraged credit, investment banking or commercial banking environment

Strong analytical, financial modeling and research skills

Assisting the Underwriting Team in assessing new investment opportunities for the Firm

Significant experience in bank loan underwriting and research with in-depth quantitative credit, financial analytical, and critical thinking skills expertise

Analyst buy-side role with 3-5 years of overall experience with a generalist background

Demonstrated modeling, written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

Significant experience analyzing CIMs, models, credit agreements, and term sheets

Some knowledge of consumer products, automotive, and retail industries helpful but not necessary

Underwriting of leveraged loan transactions as well as monitoring existing exposures within assigned industry sectors

Minimum of at least 2 years of project management and/or data process experience

Strong knowledge of Excel or another tool for data manipulation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Detailed knowledge of Salesforce reporting

Property & Casualty Insurance and/or PEO experience preferred

Build and analyze reports to identify where changes should be made for better efficiency and quality, and lower costs
