Previous management experience in a senior or lead role is a plus

Oversee, develop, and manage original webcomic content for ongoing or new series

6+ years of editorial experience in webcomics, comics, manga, print publishing, or related field required

Ability to manage writers and creative teams to meet deadlines

Intermediate knowledge of art and the ability to discuss composition, color, and design required

Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

3 to 5 years medical editing and fact checking experience in a pharma ad agency/medical education environment (agency experience preferred)

Prioritize and manage workload, meetings, and various tasks to ensure all deliverables are met with excellence

Offer guidance and training to junior team members and freelancers to ensure integrity of editorial process

Proactively offer and provide help to others to ensure all work moves through the department efficiently

Knowledge of AMA style and FDA guidelines governing pharmaceutical products

Edit and proofread copy for assigned and other brands as needed

At least 7 years of digital editorial experience, preferably including coverage of race and equality issues.

Experience editing fast-moving breaking news under deadline pressure.

Experience helping writers frame their stories for a national audience.

You’ll assign and edit daily news articles on race, equality, ethnicity and inclusion.

You’ll also work with a team of writers and producers, correspondents and other colleagues on coverage.

You’ll work with writers to ensure that our stories, headlines, newsletters and social media posts are accurate and fair.
