Senior Manager – Line Maintenance Jobs

SMS responsibility for upholding the general safety management responsibilities in the Safety Management System within areas under their control.

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in an interiors maintenance role or equivalent in passenger ships.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with Microsoft Excel and other applications and software.

Experience handling and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously in pressure situations.

5+ years of commercial aircraft maintenance experience.

Strong knowledge of FAR’s and regulatory manuals.

Proven experience in establishing and maintaining line maintenance stations required.

Provide leadership, mentor and manage site-based Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Manager in Amazon’s North American Fulfillment Network.

Offer guidance to senior leadership on maintenance and equipment end of life (EOL) issues using ROI, and other analytical techniques.

Help manage vendor support and equipment relationships and leverage Amazon’s network size to maximize economies of scale.

Leverage the entire maintenance team for the benefit of the North American network.

Develop and manage budget and contract documents including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing.

Provide Fulfillment Center General Managers with visibility over the Conduct of Maintenance in their fulfillment centers.

Participates in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS), as required

Direct ground equipment quantity needs and maintenance requirements. This will be coordinated with the Maintenance Planning Manager

Coordinates with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Planning, and the DQC to ensure ETOPS requirements for similar system maintenance

Have at least 3 years of experience in maintaining large airplanes with an air carrier knowledge of FAA regulations

Locate, review qualifications, and review contracts with maintenance providers to support the organization in an assigned region

Coordinates with the Director of Quality to ensure that Maintenance program revisions meet ETOPS requirements for similar system maintenance

Provide shift level management, operational control, oversight and procedural guidance

Provide direct management of support shops personnel and management of production where applicable

Preferred Bachelors degree in management, engineering or equivalent

Experience and working knowledge in utilizing an ERP and/or Management Execution System

Knowledge of OSHA and Environmental regulations

Experience managing capital spend and operational budgeting

Oversee day-to-day operations of the maintenance department

Hire and train maintenance department staff as required

Organize and oversee schedules and work of team members
