Senior Injection Molding Technicians Jobs

Experience with design of experiments, gauge repeatability and reproducibility, and process qualifications

Experience defining production data requirements and statistical process control

Experience working with and defining requirements for ERP, MRP and MES systems

Identify automation opportunities and establish requirements as well as evaluating return on investment for each

1+ years of experience from industry or participation in collegiate engineering or research projects

Previous experience leading team of high performing engineers and/or specialists

Work with more senior IM team members to learn about daily pad quantities required and production methods involved.

Will fulfill basic role on production line to ensure daily quotas are met.

Will stack pads for preparation to forklift for transport without breakage.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Direction is given by shift lead and supervisor. Must interface with other hourly production team members.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in injection molding.

Candidate must have good organizational skills.

Candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including set-up, process adjustments, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and workflow.

Responsible to produce quality parts in a timely manner in accordance with production schedules.

Monitor to ensure that all auxiliary equipment and molding machines stay in good working order.

Basic mechanical ability, machine set-up/operations experience preferred.

Set up from sample parts, set up data sheets, or supervisor's instructions.

Setups involve changing of molds, setting a variety of limit switches to achieve proper mold height, stroke, closing, etc.

Set injection pressures, adjust material feed and back pressure and ram speed.

Set heat controls and timers

Set up automatic product removal system and conveyor for automatic operation and adjust ejection system for proper removal of product.

Three years or more experience with injection molding including Processing

Proven process aptitude through job experience

Functional knowledge of injection molds, injection molding machine, injection molding processes, mold set ups, and statistical process control

Possess basic hand tools and the knowledge to use them.

Ability to work with Robotic controls and programs.

Pull and set molds in preparation for production runs.

Participation in the management of the expertise network (knowledge capitalization)

Support the engineering change management process

Knowledge in Operations/Business System software and the ability to analyze data to support business requirements. Strong Excel skills required.

Experience working with up to 500 ton plastic injection machines

Setup, Maintenance, troubleshooting of Plastic Injection molding Machines

Familiar with plastics such as PVC, Polycarbonate, Nylon, and others

Responsible for supporting Injection Molding operations by inspecting, assembling and packaging product associated with operating all Injection Molding and Secondary processes.

Verifies and approves finished product by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and conducting re-work.

High school diploma, or G.E.D., and three years related experience and/or training.

Operates automated production machinery (including: grinders, injection molding, hot stamp, paint spray, and S-lines).

Adjusts machinery to ensure continuous operation of all processes.

Performs visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure all production meets quality standards.

Makes necessary set-up on equipment for product or process changes.

Submits daily production, quality and equipment reports.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering

8+ years of IATF 16949 Injection Molding work experience

•Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9000 standards.

•Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

•Minimum two years in a manager/supervisor position.

•Additional training education is preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work

Interprets blueprints, sketches, and written/verbal orders as it relates to specific customer requirements.

Determines work procedures and assignments for project team personnel in conjunction with department manager.

Experience working with highly technical, engineered capital equipment projects.

SAP experience a strong plus.

Shift: B Shift (7am-7pm- Must have Grinding Experience) and 3rd shift (11pm-7:30am) and 1st shift (7-3:30pm) .

Responsible for inspecting parts, maintaining a sufficient supply of material in the hoppers and grinding the runners.

Responsible for assuring material is feeding into hopper loaders.

Responsible for sorting parts to remove non-conforming product.

2 years of experience as a Setup Technician.

5 years of experience operating injection molding equipment.

Demonstrated skill and ability to use precision measuring equipment.

Prior machine tool operation skills.

Training and experience using Scientific Molding practices

Experience processing a wide range of different materials and additives

Knowledge of Visual Quality Discrepancies

Delmiaworks (IQMS) ERP System Experience

Understand the mechanics of the molding machine

Setup cell per work instructions

Remove molded plastic part from injection molding machine

Maintain cycle times to ensure customer delivery dates

Required Skills / Experience / Education:

Manufacturing environment work experience especially in Injection Molding a plus

Self-motivated with ability and desire to learn new skills.
