Injection Molding Operator I Day

JOB SUMMARY

Entry level position. Follow established procedures and guidelines to form a variety of simple, manual tasks that form part of a production process. Load materials into production machines. Remove, pack, and sort raw materials or finished products. Collect, and dispose of garbage and production waste according to the organization's waste removal and recycling policies. Clean production equipment and work areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment, and have a strong attention to detail. Must be a proactive “self starter” who can work well without supervision. Entry level position requires no previous experience. Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time. High school education or GED strongly preferred but not required.

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

Direction is given by shift lead and supervisor. Must interface with other hourly production team members.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a general manufacturing environment. Seasonal temperatures may be extreme at times including excessive heat or cold. Work area is often dusty and dirty due to the concrete materials required for production.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have ability to use hands and fingers to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. In addition, must have the ability to move freely throughout the facility without physical limitation, and capacity to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and have the ability to bend, stoop and reach.
