Senior Criminal Intelligence Analyst Jobs

A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. A Master's degree may be substituted for the required experience.

Must have two (2) years of experience in collecting, analyzing, and presenting information.

Must have knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Publisher and ability to use computer programs.

This position involves critical duties and responsibilities that must continue to be performed during crisis situations and contingency operations.

Experience in intelligence analysis, using programs such as i2 Analyst Notebook, and open source research preferred.

Perform other criminal analytical duties as assigned.

Monitor owned campaign performance across DET-managed and competitive social media pages using a suite of leading social measurement tools.

3 + years’ relevant social media measurement and reporting experience required.

Outstanding research and analytical skills; Ability to identify trends and glean insights from disparate data sources and communicate insights to stakeholders.

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.

Superior written communication skills as the data translation will be required in multiple formats.

Experience with industry-specific social monitoring tools such as Talkwalker Social Content Ratings and Canvs TV.

Attends training sessions as required to gain skills and knowledge.

Analyses progress of investigations and outlines requirements for follow-up or additional investigation.

Retrieves and manages crime database information and ensures it is maintained on case intake and dispositions.

Participates with CDI investigators, in the planning and conduct of investigations.

Prepares, analyzes, and evaluates reports.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Previous experience in both qualitative and quantitative project management work will be advantageous

Experience in social media analysis, ideally using social media data to inform intelligence work for private sector clients.

Previous experience using the following software tools will be highly advantageous: Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, Dataminer, Tableau, and Asana

Utilizing analytical insights to create client deliverables, such as reports and presentations, and provide essential support in client meetings as necessary

Conduct and deliver analysis work for other Blackbird clients

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required by the position

Knowledge of computer data systems, statistical analysis, and mapping programs.

Knowledge of principles of statistics and quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, demographic and social variables affecting public safety.

Skill in computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite).

Strong attention to detail and research skills.

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Assigns and reviews work, provides guidance and training to assigned staff;

Advises immediate supervisor regarding performance of staff;

Coordinates submission of timely and accurate responses to intelligence requests;

Prepares and disseminates tactical and operational analytical products;

Assigns and approves work of team analysts;

Provides investigative recommendations to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. Provides training to agency's in-house and user agency personnel.

Senior Intelligence Targeting Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Identifying requirements and providing recommendations to fill knowledge gaps impacting missions directly related to tactical, operational, and strategic levels of operation.

Supporting OSINT/PAI capabilities interface between service, national, and coalition customers within a defined area of responsibility.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience serving in a Command, Component, Task Force operational or tactical unit.

Senior Intelligence Targeting Analyst Responsibilities Include:

Interfacing with intelligence organizations to produce analytical products and assessments supporting targeting efforts, HUMINT and exploitation operations, and threat analysis.

Strong communication and time management skills

Minimum 3 years’ experience with data analysis, analytics and/or business intelligence software

Electronic Monitoring industry experience preferred

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills

Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing timelines

Performs proactive diagnostic analysis, making corrective recommendations, and providing easy-to-interpret reporting on specific EM events of interest based on customer-specific protocols

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as in-depth technical knowledge

Work closely with Senior Manager/Manager on vertical projects data gathering and research

Regularly communicate progress, call out risks, and completion of projects with Sr manager/manager

3+ years of experience in data/business analysis

3+ years of experience in data retrieval (e.g., SQL, Python is a plus) and visualization (e.g., Tableau, Excel, PowerPivot)

Hands-on experience working with large, complex, and diverse datasets

A master's degree or higher in a specified field will meet the education and experience requirements.

Bachelor's Degree and/or higher education in related fields such as but not limited to criminal justice, forensic science, emergency management.

Knowledge of principles and techniques of crime analysis and/or data analysis.

MS Office or similar software skills
