KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

Assists in the training of less experienced workers.

Equipment capabilities, limitations, and safe operating characteristics; and

Semi-skilled and skilled landscape construction and maintenance tasks;

Methods, materials and equipment used in grounds maintenance, pest control, construction, maintenance and repair of parks, trees, facilities and irrigation systems;

Operation, maintenance, and repair of tools and equipment used in grounds maintenance and caretaking;

Manages minor maintenance and construction projects including ordering supplies and equipment and scheduling resources and completing as directed.

Provides lead direction over a small field crew in grounds and landscape maintenance; provides input to employee evaluations;

Inspects assigned parks to identify hazards and maintenance needs on a routine basis; ensures maintenance is completed on schedule;

Maintains and repairs water well pumps and associated equipment;

Provides routine maintenance of small equipment by changing oil, replacing belts, blades and keeping all vehicles and equipment clean; and

No 04 Do you currently possess a Fork Lift Operator's certificate?

Performs hardscape maintenance including; walkways, entrances, curbs, gutters, trash cans, drinking fountains, concrete slabs.

Operates equipment such as mowers, power drills, hand pickers, power sprayers, and clippers.

Cleans and maintains trail amenities including debris removal, pressure washing, raking, concrete patching, and touch-up painting.

Operates, inspects, cleans, and maintains various hand and power tools, including chainsaws, pruning saws, mowers, hedge trimmers, and sanders.

Prepares for winter storm damage, performs clean-up activities and repairs.

Estimate material and labor requirements;

Campsite electrical and plumbing repairs;

Trail work, lawn care, tree trimming;

Provide customer service to park and reservoir guests;

Experience with landscaping and lawn care

Experience with basic plumbing, masonry and carpentry work

Experience in hand and power tools used in facilities and ground maintenance and repair
