20+ years of industry experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization in the preclinical and translational space

Proven experience leading oncology, immunology or immuno-oncology drug development

Experience with regulatory submissions, creating regulatory documents (INDs, CTAs, NDAs etc.) and interacting with global regulatory agencies

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and excellent organizational skills

Strong interpersonal, influencing, problem solving, and collaboration skills that cross scientific disciplines involved in R&D, clinical operations, and drug development

Head of Translational Medicine - Responsibilities

Manage day to day activities of a direct report

Maintain up to date knowledge of advancements in the field including new laboratory techniques and technologies

PhD in immunology or related field with 0 to 3 years of industry experience

In depth knowledge of CRISPR based gene editing

Hands on experience with protein and cell-based assays including mammalian tissue culture, ELISA, MSD, and flow cytometry

Hands on experience with molecular biology techniques including expression systems

PhD or equivalent experience in medical imaging analysis, including traditional (e.g., atlas based) and modern machine learning methods (deep learning).

Three or more years of experience in analyzing large imaging datasets in drug discovery/development or relevant academic setting.

Experience with PACS systems and image annotation tools.

Conduct and communicate complex statistical analyses of medical imaging studies to support trial design and registration activities.

Work expeditiously as a member of matrixed clinical trials teams with diverse membership and expertise

Strong grasp of the strength and limitations of different imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI, PET-CT, ultrasound, OCT, fundoscopy)

Differentiate iPSCs into different cell types for translational cellular assays

Execute biochemical and cell-based functional assays

Document and analyze data and present to internal teams

Independent scientist who can drive new areas with minimal supervision but also to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics or related fields

Or Master's Degree and 5+ years of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics or related fields

Or PhD and 2+ years of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics or related fields.

Ph.D. with 2+ years or M.S. with 5+ years of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics or related fields.

Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industries.

Strong experience in the use of a high-level programming language such as R and Python.

Working knowledge of clinical monitoring responsibilities and procedures.

Working knowledge of Clinical Trial Master File requirements.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational abilities

Assist Project Manager in updating information on clinicaltrials.gov registry(ies) and other registries as necessary

2 – 4 years relevant biotech/pharma, and/or CRO. Prior lab experience required.

Advanced computer skills and ability to train others in system usage

You have relevant experience in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology or a closely related field.

You have exemplary oral and written communication skills.

Hands-on experience working with mammalian cells in a BSL2+ laboratory environment.
