Develops and implements construction management plans for complex civil projects.

Supervises and mentors inspection and construction management work of junior engineers.

Uses technical knowledge to furnish comprehensive constructability analysis and review of construction documents.

Supports the creation of decisions and recommendations that can improve corporate relationship with client and profitability of managed projects.

Schedules and manages construction engineering, inspection, observations services, and administration staff as needed.

A Resident Engineer, negotiates, organizes, and maintains thorough and up-to-date project records and claims documentation.

Maintain a close connection with North American customers to understand their needs and requirements.

Help represent the North American market/customers on product opportunities, trends, and requirements.

Provide clear direction to assigned product team members regarding program/customer objectives, requirements, and timing.

Experience in the evaluation of system designs.

Work closely with the advanced development team for product definition and innovation of mechatronic sensor products for future needs.

Work together with sales teams to promote mechatronic sensor products in the North American market.

Provide assistance to PATH Project Manager / Resident Engineer as directed

Have the ability to inspect and manage contractors field operations and direct contractors to resolve field deficiencies.

The Assistant Resident Engineer will be required to have full knowledge and familiarity with contract documents.

Construction experience must include; concrete and reinforcing placement, structural steel, asphalt paving, drainage, building construction and preparation of estimates.

Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Familiarity with Primavera and Expedition/Contract Manager

Approximately five years of experience in construction or construction management of transit projects required.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or another related field required.

Contract or experience (project manager, superintendent, engineer) desirable.

Monitor and manage all quantity tracking.

Minimum of 10 years' construction management or project management experience

Manages professional and technical staff and contract administration

The expected range for this position is $165,000 - $200,000+/salary depending on experience

Prepare and present issues and resolutions to Engineering Management and Vehicle Team(s)

Coordinate and manage Product Development Team (PDT) meetings.

Minimum 4 years experience in design or development with Supplier on supplied component / subsystem

Experience with vehicles, vehicle electrical/electronic subsystem packaging, and sub-system designs

Schedule and coordinate Design Reviews and/or Peer Reviews

Have access to supplier electrical circuit schematics and subcomponent specifications
