Has 5+ years of senior-level project management experience in an applied research and evaluation capacity, including management of project teams

Keep Management Team updated on staff strengths, challenges and professional development needs

Provide input to the Management Team for staff performance appraisals

Candidates with a master’s degree but fewer than 2 years of directly related work experience will also be considered.

Excellent time-management skills and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

Collect, manage, and structure quantitative datasets

Exceptional research, analytical writing, and communication skills

Programming experience in R, Python, Stata, SAS, and/or other languages

Prior research experience and coursework in the empirical social sciences is preferred, but not required

Experience working with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, TF, PyTorch, Scikit Learn, etc.), NLP, computer vision, or related fields is a plus

Assist the PI in other activities associated with the Family Resource Management program.

Under the guidance of the PI, employ research findings to develop educational resources and programs

Conduct literature search/reviews and organize results to inform research efforts

Use MAXQDA qualitative analysis software to code transcripts

Engage in research-related activities which may include managing the transcription process/conduct qualitative interviews

Collaborate with PI and faculty at other universities for theme analysis and related research activities

5 or more years of demonstrated skill in program/project management and employee supervision

5 or more years of experience in budget management

10 or more years of demonstrated skill in program/project management and employee supervision

8 or more years of experience in budget management

This is an exempt position with the salary range being $100-$140k. (Subject to experience)

This position is fully on site Monday- Thursday with Friday being work from home.

Oversee and provide leadership to NHF in two key areas: organizational impact and project-specific research and evaluation efforts

Bachelor’s degree in education, public policy, economics, social sciences, statistics, data science, learning science, or management or related field preferred

Significant experience with several of the following functions: project and/or program evaluation, data analysis, data management, and data-informed program design

Master’s degree in education, public policy, economics, social sciences, statistics, data science, learning science, or management or related field preferred

Experience using SQL to manage and store data, relate multiple databases

Track record of effective people management aligned to equity values

Experience with K-12 education data or context

Graduate level education and/or certification in social science research.

Prior experience conducting research in the fields of migrant and refugee studies or working for organizations that serve migrants and refugees.

Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Stata) and qualitative analysis software (Dedoose, Nvivo etc.).

Prior experience conducting research on recruitment and retention (on any population, not necessarily specific to attorneys or the immigration field).

Prior experience preparing research reports for government agencies.

Solicit insights from Acacia and IJC program staff on features of the research process that carry implications for their programmatic work.
