Regularly request and manage research appointments in Aeon and other library systems

Experience researching special collections and archival materials in a library or academic environment

Experience handling special collections materials (or similar cultural objects at an institution)

Experience publishing blog posts on digital platforms (wordpress, medium, tumblr, etc.)

Independently conduct research in the center's Art & Artifacts and Photographs & Prints divisions to support digital projects

Organizational skills & ability to manage multiple projects and assignments

Perform detailed research on biological pathways and mechanisms related to functional health benefits and aspired-to claims.

Communication skills: interpersonal, presentation, oral and written

Computer Skills: SAP, Slack, Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Power Point, Word, and Access

Conduct and present analytical data of current market trends, areas of opportunity, and viable marketing strategies.

About Your JAX Internship Experience

Must currently be enrolled at an accredited institution

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business or a related field

Participate in training sessions to develop your data analytics, communications and visualisation skills.

Have strong research skills including a good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Be a strong communicator and fluent in English, with advanced writing and editing skills. Additional languages are desirable, but not essential.

Have advanced experience using the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint).

Have experience monitoring ‘owned’ channels – including websites and social accounts.

Have good inter-personal skills, be a keen team-player, be organised and able to take initiative.

Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-group, and cross-culture collaboration.

Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

Demonstrated ability to develop original research.

Programming experience in some combination of Java/C#/C++, Python, Javascript/Typescript, R.

Skills in visualization, data science, and machine learning.

Experience in systems like D3, Vega, React, Scikit, TensorFlow, PyTorch a plus.

Must be currently enrolled in PhD program (near completion) in computer science or closely related field.

Familiarity with ML techniques and practices.

Research ability demonstrated by a strong publication record of top-tier journal and conference publications or submitted/accepted papers in top venues.

Knowledge of advanced security and cryptographic techniques, and ability to implement them (preferred for some roles)

Must be currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Computer Science or a related STEM field.

Must be passionate about building practical systems to solve real-world problems.

Ability to hack and comprehend complex software (e.g., operating systems, compilers, program binaries).

Must have proven record of research, standards, or equivalent peer-reviewed publication in a reputable venue in your field

Authentication protocols, applied cryptography, PKI and SSL/TLS

Experience in quantitative research methods on topics related to peace, conflict, and governance.

Experience with development of research products (briefs, reports, analysis plans).

Interest, experience, and/or coursework in quantitative research methods (i.e., survey design, data collection, cleaning, and analysis).

Knowledge of SPSS, STATA, R, or other statistical software preferred.

Interest, experience, and/or coursework in mixed-methods research preferred.
