Research Administrator Ii Fully Remote Jobs in New York

Work daily with Microsoft Defender 365, Sentinel, and MS Purview, monitoring and responding to security events or potential vulnerabilities

Work with the compliance manager on GRC reviews

At least 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity

Experience with Microsoft security is a must, particularly in MS Defender and Sentinel

Experience and comfort on a small security team is a big plus, but not necessary

Certifications are a giant plus, especially CISSP and Azure related certs

Assist in knowledge management initiatives within the Research Administrative Team and Research Division.

Assist in project and budget management matters.

Submit expense reports and reimbursements for the Research Management Team and Research Administrative Team.

-Familiarity with project management software preferred.

Act as a project manager for Research Administrative Team projects and Research Division awards.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payments and address payment issues.

Strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities

Must be able to work well with all levels of management

Experience with T&M and FFP invoicing

Experience with PROCAS and Unanet Accounting / Time & Expense and QuickBooks software

Perform basic accounting tasks to include accounts payable/receivable

Create journal entries for proper revenue recognition

3 years of experience in grant and contract administration

Strong written and oral communication skills

Review/monitor grant spending and work with the appropriate parties to manage and/or resolve any issues or concerns.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Guides and prepares PI’s and departmental administration through budget revisions, no-cost extensions, and/or related materials as necessary.
