Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment, including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering, and voice disorders.

Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies.

Demonstrate knowledge of growth, development and dynamics of behavior for age-related groups cared for.

Knowledge of new computer software relating to patient treatment.

Master’s Degree, Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), ASHA.

Certificate of Clinical Competence, America Speech-Language-Hearing Association, (required) or

Demonstrates knowledge regarding pain assessment and management and adjusts interventions when appropriate based on this knowledge.

Demonstrates the knowledge and the skills necessary to provide the care appropriate to the age/needs of the patients served.

Performs case management/discharge planning and physician coordination appropriate to care provided.

Provides education to the patient and family members regarding evaluation and treatment.

Provides patient/family education as appropriate.

Demonstrates knowledge of reimbursement criteria as necessary and modifies interventions as appropriate.

Remote Registry Technicians must have high speed internet access and experience with remote access, set-up, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Excellent office skills with knowledge and use of computers and software applications.

Prepare productivity reports as requested by Team Leader/Cancer Registry Manager.

Minimum requirements - high school graduate, associate or college degree preferred.

Medical records experience preferred, any work experience in the oncology field a plus.

Experience with Microsoft Office preferred – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Knowledge of basic business aspects of position, such as utilization management, charging practices and regulatory practice compliance.

Two (2) years clinical practice as a Speech Language Pathologist (including work experience as Clinical Fellow).

5 + years’ experience in Sales

Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

Proven ability to manage multiple projects while paying strict attention to detail

Attends staff meetings and educational in services/presentations. Present in service after attending professional conference.

1 year Clinical experience in an acute care hospital (experience during grad school will be accepted)

Accurately performs documentation on each evaluation and treatment session within the electronic medical record and accurately documents billing charges.

Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competency of the ASHA or in a Clinical fellowship year (Temporary License)
