Rail Facilities Mechanic Jobs

Perform duties of his/her job and as assigned by Management.

Meet productivity goals and quality standards as set by management.

Communicates regularly with managers and supervisors about the departments issues.

Basic electrical knowledge for equipment and facilities.

Basic knowledge for handling fluids and gases under pressure.

10+ years trade experience preferred

Operation and maintenance of Boilers, heating furnaces, Steam/Condensate distribution systems, pressure regulator valves and associated equipment

Perform water chemistry sampling/testing as necessary

Will provide best practices training/direction to personnel regarding maintenance and repairs of related equipment, as necessary

Observes operational temperature and pressure gauges and adjusts controls accordingly

Lubricates, maintains, and cleans equipment

Requires applicant to become a Safety Operator, qualified Steam Plant operator, fuel delivery truck operator and Nitrogen delivery truck operator

Preference will be given to those who possess a journeyman certification, commercial driver’s license, journeyman welder;

Experience with heavy metal fabrication/welding would be an asset

Strong problem solving and computer skills;

You must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal;

Achievement of journey-level skills acquired through completion of an applicable apprenticeship program.

Experience working on single-family apartment complexes.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
