Quality Control Technician Specialist Jobs in Texas

Knowledge and application of the USACE Construction Quality Management requirements.

Current USACE “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” certification, or ability to obtain, is desired.

Technical knowledge of the application of procurement and construction practices sufficient to comprehend Quality requirements, including interpreting drawings and specifications.

Inspect (or oversee inspection of) materials and equipment received on site to assure compliance with contractual requirements.

Experience participating in and supporting quality assessments, surveillances, and audits.

Minimum of Associates degree or equivalent experience.

At least 1 year of related Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment required

Submit samples for microbiological testing, maintains test results, and calculates batch adjustments for certain products.

Approve batches for packaging and conforming finished product for shipment and places non-conforming product on hold for further analysis.

Make corresponding inventory movements in SAP.

File and maintain retained samples.

Minimum 2 years of related experience within event production and/or warehouse operations

Process daily intake and quality checks of assigned equipment

Prioritize workload based on outbound equipment needs

Assist in the maintenance of assigned stock of parts, accessories and ancillaries required to return

Equipment to a rentable state

Maintain the physical appearance and functional form of assigned area

Assist in the implementation and qualification of new assays

Write, edit and approve deviations and CAPAs as required. Responsible for initiating change controls and completing necessary documentation

May initiate out of specification (OOS) and deviation investigations as needed to address non-conformances in the lab

Assist in tracking and trending of QC data

Responsible for completing, organizing and filing data. Will need to follow up and modify with documents to reflect complete testing

Perform technical reviews of raw data

Prepare required documents with test results to be presented to production personnel and quality control management.

Two years of post-secondary technical education or equivalent in experience.

Weekly labor voucher audit and CVP focal for the site. This includes CVP reverification and revocation/reauthorization.

Assist operators to access CVP training slides, administer and grade CVP test.

Maintain, update e-CVP file with completed CVP annual reverification along with e-CVP revocation and reauthorization.

Responsible for Workstation and special process audits

Focal for stamp control for the site. This includes issuing new stamps, revoke and reissue as needed.

Associate’s degree* in Chemistry or science related discipline and 2+ years work experience in related role; OR

Military enlisted occupational specialist of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) and 1 year of lab-related work experience

Work experience working in a chemical lab.

Prior manufacturing, process or chemical plant experience preferred

Knowledge of basic laboratory instrumentation and ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on laboratory equipment

Good written and verbal communication skills; creative problem-solving skills and attention-to-detail

Knowledge of all cleaning agents and applications, external, internal, cleaners, and sanitizers.

High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.

2-3 years hands-on work experience in the carbonated soft drink industry preferred.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft business applications and various reporting software.

Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Mix proprietary plant-scale batches of concentrated chemicals in a food and beverage production operation according to product specifications.
