Production Welder Jobs

1 year of welding experience, preferably with a product

Medical with either FSA or HSA offering, dental, vision, life as elected, effective 1st of month following 30 days of employment

1-2 years of related experience and certification in welding or equivalent is preferred.

Uses specified welding equipment to assist and support manufacturing operations of parts and assemblies as required to meet regulatory requirements.

Employees are expected to have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as be competent in the use of computers.

High School diploma or equivalent is required and a minimum of 6 months of experience.

Under direct supervision with an assigned mentor or coach, performs standard operations specifically used in the welding process.

This can include welding, braze and prep, post braze clean up, final clean up, labeling, cutting, and hard facing.

Have knowledge of how to use and set up tooling for specific weld types

Produce welds in accordance to customer requirements and/or employer specifications

Ability to walk, bend, stoup, crouch, kneel, climb, stand for 10 hours

Ability to work in high temperatures

Ability to communicate needs and concerns in a timely manner

Ability to read and understand process sheets

Knowledge of MIG welding techniques.

Work Independently, multi-task and have knowledge of production procedure.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

We frequently have positions available on both our 1st and 2nd shifts.

All candidates will complete a weld test during the interview process.

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

3-5 years of experience and certification in welding or equivalent is preferred.

Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.

Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations and use of specialized lifting equipment.

Employees may also perform post-work inspection of work.

Safety procedures must be followed diligently at all times i.e.

Perform welding assembly process in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards and policies.

Trade school, college, weld experience, or a combination

Reviews and maintains production schedule, expedite list and/or work orders.

Studies print, process sheet, or layout on work piece to determine assembly required, and assembly sequence of operation.

Check dimensions of component parts for assure print conformance by use of layout, and/or any required inspection equipment.

Lays out reference lines and machining locations on work piece, according to print.

Uses Bluco or layout table to perform fixture or small lot size assembly work.

· Work with lead people to learn basic shop knowledge and any associated procedures.

What qualifications do you need to be successful in this role?

· Must be able to pass welder qualification test per work instructions.

What will you be doing?

· Running production welding on all jobs with supervision.

· Assure weld quality of all parts.

Orbital welding experience or knowledge

Communicate with engineers on design concepts, offering suggestions for improvements to the design.

5+ years’ experience with DC- and AC-TIG welding of aerospace stainless steels and aluminum, inconel alloys

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to document and maintain accurate records

Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling and work order systems, inventory and various issue tracking systems

Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware

Schooling or experience in a manufacturing setting (preferred but not required)

Able to read tape measure (preferred but not required)

Able to perform repetitive work

Able to recognize and understand welding symbols

Able to work independently, under a minimal supervision

Able to work in enclosed and confined spaces

Able to use the required tools: weld hood, welding leathers, weld gloves, leather work boots, 4-1/2” grinder, crescent wrench, welpers.
