Overview Principal Environmental Planners are responsible for leading the development and implementation of environmental planning projects. They are responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to clients, stakeholders, and other professionals in the field of environmental planning. They must be knowledgeable in the principles of environmental planning, including land use, natural resource management, and environmental impact assessment. Detailed Job Description Principal Environmental Planners are responsible for leading the development and implementation of environmental planning projects. They are responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to clients, stakeholders, and other professionals in the field of environmental planning. They must be knowledgeable in the principles of environmental planning, including land use, natural resource management, and environmental impact assessment. They must be able to develop and implement plans that meet the needs of the client and the environment. They must be able to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals in the field. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of environmental planning principles, including land use, natural resource management, and environmental impact assessment
• Ability to develop and implement plans that meet the needs of the client and the environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies
• Knowledge of GIS and other mapping software
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, geography, or a related field
• Master’s degree in environmental planning, geography, or a related field preferred
• Professional certification in environmental planning preferred
• 5+ years of experience in environmental planning
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of environmental planning principles, including land use, natural resource management, and environmental impact assessment
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies
• Knowledge of GIS and other mapping software
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in environmental planning
• Experience leading the development and implementation of environmental planning projects
• Experience providing technical expertise and guidance to clients, stakeholders, and other professionals in the field of environmental planning
