Experience with data management, data analytics, and data quality

Prepare and analyze data to create and generate reports and documents used in the portfolio management processes

2 - 3 years of experience in an investment-related field and understanding of investment portfolios/process

Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools

Provide support for the wider team of investment professionals in client solutions, including portfolio construction and management.

Undergraduate degree with proven 3-5 years of experience within the finance industry required

Must convey excellent written skills

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Self-starter and goal orientated focus with ability to manage their own time effectively

Detailed knowledge of Microsoft office applications

Possess excellent analytical, communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills

The Analyst will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Collect, review, and analyze financial exhibits & market data for debt structure modeling in Excel

Conduct due diligence of the borrower

Complete market research through third party information sources

Coordinate with the originator and the underwriting department in the processing of the applications.

Fundamental knowledge and understanding of multifamily transactions and management

Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

Support portfolio management in annual budget and asset planning process

2-3 years of real estate investment/development, investment banking, or finance experience

Maintain and analyze fund-level financial models in order to manage liquidity needs

Experience underwriting ground-up multifamily development opportunities with waterfall structures as well as core/core-plus and value-add investment opportunities

2-4 years of experience in portfolio risk management

Provide transparency and investment insights to NYLIM senior management as well as NYLIM’s marketing and distribution teams

Produce detailed analysis and thoughtful recommendations for senior management

Serve as a firm-wide resource for analytical support, risk management, and investment due diligence

Expertise in equities, fixed income and multi-asset portfolio management strategies and risk management techniques.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Investment Management, or Equity Research.

Develop portfolio construction insights and recommendations to firm management and portfolio managers

Continuously evaluate the construction and returns of the firm’s long/short equity portfolios

Perform analytics on portfolios, markets, and business units

Deliver process excellence across the team’s critical workflows, including daily analytics, capital allocation, and business planning

Help execute the strategic agenda for the broader CIO group
