Overview The Patient Access Service Resource Specialist is responsible for providing customer service and support to patients and their families in the healthcare setting. This role is responsible for ensuring that patients have access to the services they need, and that their experience is positive and efficient. Detailed Job Description The Patient Access Service Resource Specialist is responsible for providing customer service and support to patients and their families in the healthcare setting. This role is responsible for ensuring that patients have access to the services they need, and that their experience is positive and efficient. The Patient Access Service Resource Specialist will be responsible for verifying patient information, scheduling appointments, and providing assistance with insurance and billing inquiries. The Specialist will also provide support to other departments within the healthcare facility, such as the medical records department and the billing department. Job Skills Required• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance and billing processes
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service role
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance and billing processes
