Overview Park Worker II is a position responsible for providing general maintenance and upkeep of parks and recreational facilities. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of parks, recreational facilities, and other public areas. Detailed Job Description Park Worker II is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of parks, recreational facilities, and other public areas. This includes mowing, trimming, and edging grass, picking up litter, cleaning and maintaining restrooms, and other duties as assigned. This position is also responsible for performing minor repairs and maintenance on park equipment, such as benches, tables, and playground equipment. This position may also be responsible for providing customer service to park visitors, such as answering questions and providing directions. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of park maintenance and upkeep
• Ability to operate a variety of power tools and equipment
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
• Ability to communicate effectively with park visitors
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in park maintenance or related field
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
