Occupational Medicine Coordinator Jobs

Bachelor’s Degree/Associate’s Degree OR High School degree/GED with 2 - 3 years of insurance benefits, eligibility and coverage experience.

Knowledge of dental/medical insurances, insurance processes, billing/healthcare compliance and insurance guidelines, rules, regulations and requirements.

Is responsible for checking patient insurance eligibility, benefits, limitations and coverage.

Answers eligibility and benefit coverage inquiries.

Must be customer service focused (internal and external), with excellent communication, attention to detail, exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.

Have healthcare business or insurance knowledge.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Maintains the medical record in good form.

Communicates effectively using established systems/protocols.

Communicates effectively with ancillary departments.

Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others.

Assist in management of Ergonomics Program and provide training when needed

General knowledge of federal and state worker’s compensation laws and experience with legal documents

Certifications: Active First Aid/CPR/AED certification and OSHA 30 hr preferred but not required

Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in OT, PT, or AT

Experience in an occupational safety setting or therapy clinic preferred

Maintain CEU’s for Indiana License and Certification

5 years related administrative or business experience required. Some supervisory experience preferred. experience and education

Assists in maintaining and monitoring the budget and grant allocations. Prepares documents required to maintain balanced accounts for review and approval.

Develops, updates and/or revises informational flyers, brochures, leaflets and mailings.

Researches, locates and compiles information for reports. Assembles and categorizes figures for computation and calculations. Prepares statistical reports.

Checks materials submitted for supervisors attention to ensure all relevant data, authorizations and pertinent information are included.

May assist supervisor with the completion of grant applications, special projects and JCAHO and other survey preparations.

Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements

One year of relevant healthcare experience; preferably urgent care or emergency department

Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology

Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus

Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatment

Perform triage and obtain vital signs

Experience with project management tools preferred

Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

Three (3) years of experience and expertise in complex project management

Experience in an international setting and with project management methodologies preferred

Utilizing project management tools to effectively coordinate priority work activities, track timelines, tasks, and deliverables, and provide regular progress reporting

Demonstrated problem solving skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize information

Directs own continuing education activities and keep skills current, expand knowledge base ad comply with recertification/registration requirements.

Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.

Dental coder certification (CDC) required, or within 1 year of hire date.

Knowledge of MassHealth and Medicare regulations and guidelines, as well as commercial dental/medical insurance coding/billing practices.

Experience in a fast-paced dental/medical setting.

Certified Dental Coder (CDC) applicant with 4 - 6 years of medical/dental insurance coding/billing.

Familiarity with ADA codes, CPT Codes and ICD-10 Codes.

Three (3) years of complex project management experience

Experience in an international setting and with project management methodologies preferred

Familiarity with project management frameworks in health related and resource-limited (low- and middle-income country) settings strongly preferred

Technical skills in global health systems and policy (including researching/monitoring)

Excellent organizational skills and attention to details

Strong communication and analytic skills
