Required Experience and Skills for Physical Therapist Position

Paid board certification training & residencies in industry-coveted specialties through Evidence In Motion (EIM).

Demonstrate comprehensive clinical knowledge and acceptable performance in all aspects of the patient/client encounter.

CHT certification or strong interest in hand therapy.

Willing to work towards board certification in Hand Therapy.

Mentorship by board-certified hand therapists.

Possess practical organizational and time management skills with attention to detail

Communicate with Case Management Team and other staff to expedite each client's movement through service delivery.

Minimum of one (1) year of professional practice experience in a work environment with people with disabilities

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, business professionals, civic organizations, and the general public

Conduct comprehensive functional vision rehabilitation assessments to identify existing skills, goals, and appropriate adaptive devices needed.

Actively build relationships between LCF and community partners, particularly in OT, higher education, optometry, and ophthalmology.

Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills

Computer skills appropriate to position

State of Florida Licensure Requirements

Associate's in accredited COTA program

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant License

BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)
