Overview Nursing Care Partners (NCPs) are healthcare professionals who provide direct patient care in a variety of settings. They work closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. NCPs are responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring patient progress, and providing support to patients and their families. Detailed Job Description Nursing Care Partners are responsible for providing direct patient care in a variety of settings. They work closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. NCPs are responsible for assessing patient needs, providing direct patient care, monitoring patient progress, and providing support to patients and their families. They may also be responsible for providing education to patients and their families on health topics, such as nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care technician program
• Current certification as a nursing assistant or patient care technician
• Current CPR certification
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Knowledge of infection control protocols
• Knowledge of patient rights and responsibilities
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques
• Knowledge of patient care plans
• Knowledge of medications and their effects
Job Experience
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting
• Previous experience providing direct patient care
• Previous experience providing patient education
• Previous experience working with a variety of patient populations
Job Responsibilities
• Assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the nurse or physician
• Provide patient education on health topics, such as nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Assist with medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
• Maintain patient confidentiality
