Overview Nurse Unit Managers (NUMs) are responsible for the overall management of a nursing unit within a hospital or other healthcare facility. They also provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, and ensure that the unit is meeting the standards of care set by the facility. They also oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members, and provide ongoing support and guidance to existing staff.
