North Texas Regional Admissions Counselor Jobs in Ohio

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

At least one year of experience in enrollment services, academic advising, or recruiting

Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

At least two years of experience in enrollment services, academic advising, or recruiting

At least one year of experience as an admissions counselor, student ambassador, or orientation leader

Knowledge of university and admissions office procedures and policies

Work Arrangement (final schedule to be determined by the department/hiring manager): Remote/Hybrid Eligible

Develop and execute a recruitment plan for northern Alabama; conducting high school visits, attending college fairs, and planning/hosting area events.

Build relationships with high school students and their families to coach them through UAB’s application and enrollment process.

Establish partnerships with high school counselors and community leaders to build awareness of UAB in the region.

In conjunction with the Admissions Events team, create and execute prospective student and high school counselor events.

Advise leadership on territory trends that will impact future recruitment efforts.

Advise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life

Manage recruitment territory by utilizing data to plan travel, make admissions decisions, and communicate with students

One or more years of experience in student recruitment or marketing

Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

Experienced with Word, Excel and PowerPoint and familiar with PeopleSoft and Slate

Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Experience in the management of both transactional and recurring revenue offerings

Manage results from assigned channel sales targets, plans and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators )

Identify white space that Channels can address with ABB motion services offerings

Implement business plans that lower channel servicing cost and increase speed, efficiency, and end user experience

Sales and application background in Drives/Motors in the Industrial space, and Product and market knowledge in Drive/Motor Services preferred

Implement Channel sales strategy within the assigned sales territory

Ease in using technology for communication, record keeping, and management of data.

Experience in student recruitment, education advocacy, or college counseling.

Experience within an institution of higher education.

This position will require a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain UO Driver Certification.

Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.

Must be detail-oriented and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
