Hiring Department
- Record, via electronic entry, communications to and from prospective students
- Travel within the state of Texas and to select nearby states for recruitment events, including evening and weekend travel
- Represent the university at various recruitment events
- Manage recruitment territory by utilizing data to plan travel, make admissions decisions, and communicate with students
- Build strong relationships with prospective students and families, high school contacts, and campus and community partners
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Plan and coordinate special recruitment events for prospective students, including on-campus and regionally based events. Work with faculty, staff, alumni, and business professionals to coordinate logistics for these events
- Advise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- One or more years of experience in student recruitment or marketing
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Experienced with Word, Excel and PowerPoint and familiar with PeopleSoft and Slate
