Salary
$20.00 - $24.00/hour
This position will live and work in Texas, preferably the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This position will perform significant recruiting and admissions functions, such as meeting with prospective students, and attending college fairs, high school visits and special events.
Responsibilities
  • Record, via electronic entry, communications to and from prospective students
  • Travel within the state of Texas and to select nearby states for recruitment events, including evening and weekend travel
  • Represent the university at various recruitment events
  • Manage recruitment territory by utilizing data to plan travel, make admissions decisions, and communicate with students
  • Build strong relationships with prospective students and families, high school contacts, and campus and community partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Plan and coordinate special recruitment events for prospective students, including on-campus and regionally based events. Work with faculty, staff, alumni, and business professionals to coordinate logistics for these events
  • Advise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life

Minimum Qualifications


A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • One or more years of experience in student recruitment or marketing
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Experienced with Word, Excel and PowerPoint and familiar with PeopleSoft and Slate
