Natural Resources Program Specialist Jobs

Experience training others in horticultural and natural resource management techniques.

Experience using Integrated Pest Management strategies to address pests.

Experience in plant propagation or greenhouse management.

Experience managing ornamental gardens. Preferably managing gardens within historic properties and culturally significant landscapes.

Experience developing planting and irrigation plans for water efficient landscaping.

The level I position has minimum required qualifications of Bachelor’s degree and is a PS807 pay level.

Knowledge of WSU Business Policies and Procedures in the areas of personnel, finance, and administration.

Experience in higher education, local or state agency, or equivalent.

Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively, with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience, both orally and in writing.

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Workday.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel within targeted counties.

Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator Specialist

Experience utilizing databases to manage data and/or generating reports.

This position offers an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum 2-day work in office.

Experience providing customer service including conveying technical information to a non-technical audience.

Provide technical and compliance assistance. Provide customer service through presentations, phone calls, letters, and emails.

Write, edit, and/or review various reports, compliance recommendations, correspondence, and standard operating procedures.

TCEQ - Natural Resources Specialist II (Drinking Water Specialist)

Any equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with desired skills, knowledge and ability to perform the work.

Preferred Education, Experience or Other Qualifications

Associate's degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Restoration Programs, or related field; AND

Three years of support related work experience; OR

One year of support related experience; OR

Two years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and other publishing software.
