Overview The Mobile Care Unit Medical Assistant is responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in a mobile care unit. This position requires the ability to travel to various locations to provide medical care to patients in need. The Mobile Care Unit Medical Assistant must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Detailed Job DescriptionThe Mobile Care Unit Medical Assistant is responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in a mobile care unit. This position requires the ability to travel to various locations to provide medical care to patients in need. The Mobile Care Unit Medical Assistant must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with patient intake and assessment
• Taking vital signs and medical histories
• Administering medications and treatments
• Assisting with medical procedures
• Documenting patient care
• Providing patient education
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Assisting with laboratory tests
• Assisting with scheduling appointments
• Maintaining patient records
• Assisting with billing and coding
• Assisting with patient discharge
Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Ability to work with a variety of medical equipment
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Medical Assistant
• Valid driver’s license
• CPR certification
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of medical procedures and treatments
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality laws
• Knowledge of medical equipment
Job Experience
• Previous experience working in a medical setting
• Previous experience working in a mobile care unit
