SUMMARY_
- Obey all traffic laws
- Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound vehicle
- Maintain fuel levels and P&M schedule
- Perform inspections of the vehicle before and after each route/scheduled visit/activity
- Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain millage and travel logs and prepares reports
- May load and unload equipment as assigned
- Attend scheduled staff meetings
- Requires the ability, competence, and confidence to drive the Mobile Medical Vehicle as part of routine job duties.
- Responds to emergency situations with independent actions and within scope of practice until professional assistance is available.
- Ensure safety of all patients and staff
- Assist patients with getting on and off the bus when required
- Minimum of 2 years tractor/trailer/bus/RV or other similar vehicle driving experience
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, Front Office Assistant or EMT a plus
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must possess an unrestricted, valid Class C or A license. Class A license preferred
- Responsible for the following and adhering to MedLink's Quality Standards which includes, but is not limited to: Medical Clearance, immunizations, staff training, CPR, Infection Control, and HIPAA
- Identify and resolve problems.
- Excellent problem-solving and record-keeping sk
- Applies skills in employee relations.
- Capable of a flexible work schedule, with possibility of very occasional 10-hour days
- Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situations.
- Must be able to safely assist patients with or without assistance.
- Works independently and is self-directed.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Evaluates and effectively addresses highly complex issues and problems.
- Ability to represent the organization effectively and professionally.
- Reads, speaks, understands, and writes proficiently in English.
- Must be able to interact with client personnel and health care team members in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
- Able to demonstrate competency in all applicable areas.
- Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
- Effectively analyze factors concerning risk, liability, safety, and occupational hazards.
- Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Effectively communicates orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize, document, and prioritize work, ability to work well with others and communicate effectively
- Exercises sound judgment, tack, and diplomacy.
- Experience with healthcare information systems such as electronic health record and practice management.
