Meet all continuing education requirements for licensure and specializations.

Have strong technology skills, including the ability to use electronic health records, deliver telehealth services, and complete online training requirements.

Develop measurable mental life skill-based plans tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each client, within scope of practice.

Apply assessment/screening tools, professional experience, good judgment, and StrongMynd guidelines to discern need for referral and to escalate care, as needed.

Meet HIPAA compliance, device, computer equipment, connectivity, encounter, documentation and other StrongMynd policies and requirements to deliver services to StrongMynd clients

Certification as a Certified Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) is preferred.

Minimum Required Education, Skills Experience, Skills, And Abilities

Serving as an advocate for and assisting clients in developing empowerment skills and combating stigma through self-advocacy.

Role models competency in mental health, ongoing coping skills, and self-help strategies.

Teach and role model the value of individual mental health experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated experience in performance management, including effectively teaching and supervising small and large groups of student-athletes;

Management and implementation of performance/readiness metrics

Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a strength and conditioning coach in a collegiate or professional setting;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships;

Higher education coursework in a related field;

A valid strength and conditioning certification: CSCS, USAW, or comparable certification

VIRTUS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)

NFHS concussion certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)

5-12 Physical Education teaching endorsement

Bachelor's degree in physical education, kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise science or relevant subject

The Strength and Conditioning Coach provides training in the area of strength and conditioning for all students/athletes.
