Medical Unit Clerk Jobs in Georgia

Experience with healthcare information systems such as electronic health record and practice management.

Requires the ability, competence, and confidence to drive the Mobile Medical Vehicle as part of routine job duties.

Minimum of 2 years tractor/trailer/bus/RV or other similar vehicle driving experience

Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, Front Office Assistant or EMT a plus

Applies skills in employee relations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to, the following:

Reports pertinent information or unusual circumstances to the Nurse Manager/ Nurse Supervisor in a timely manner.

Adheres to Department specific state regulations, e.g., security of medication/ PHI.

Maintains supply of materials necessary for patient care and for work related duties on the nursing unit.

Initiates requisitions for supplies, equipment, maintenance and repair services.

Ensures patients, patient's families, and visitors are oriented to hospital.

Responds to inquiries and handles phone calls appropriately, including responding to calls from physicians.
