Ensure consistent and regular communication with lawyers regarding aged balances Leverage secretaries and firm management to escalate problem accounts

Maintain a thorough knowledge of client terms, discount arrangements, lawyer and client preferences while ensuring:

Manage the unbilled inventory for an assigned group of lawyers:

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills

Participate in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.

Education:High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.

Licensure, Certification & Registration:Billing Certification preferred.

Experience:1-2 years of experience in billing or related field preferred.

Maintain strict adherence to the Lahey Health Confidentiality policy.

High School education or equivalency, medical billing courses and/or higher education a plus.

BILLING - ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE - PAYMENT POSTING - REFUNDS

High school diploma/GED required; Associate’s Degree with account management experience preferred.

Monitor and correct system information for client’s demographics, service authorizations, representative payees, and Social Security benefits.

Track and manage client data using Excel to support program data collection.

Proficiency in computer skills, familiarity with Excel and Outlook preferred.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect information from different sources, enter data, and problem solve independently.

Prepares activities reports as directed by management

Must have advanced computer knowledge including Word and Excel programs

Works with division representatives to ensure accurate and timely billing, consistent with the requirements of the customer

Manage custom interface programs between customer payable applications and billing applications

Work cross-functionally with manager team within the region to handle daily questions and needs associated with billing and AP processes

Previous experience with AR/AP a plus

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting areas of success and areas requiring attention.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

This position is fully remote (work from home).

Supervise and manage a team of medical billers, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and consistently achieving their performance goals.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, in support of the organization's mission and goals.

1 or more years’ experience with out of service area knowledge and applications

Experience with insurance verifications, medical billing and insurance knowledge.

Addresses customer needs which may include complex benefit questions, resolving issues, and educating members.

Minimum 2 years of work-related experience with customer service in the healthcare industry.

Ability to manage multiple or competing priorities, including use of multiple computer applications simultaneously.

Effective verbal and listening communication skills.

Hold monthly meetings with clearinghouse and practice management system vendors

Responsible for practice management setup for new practices, providers and plans

Complete month-end practice management system close; requires availability to work some weekends and holidays

High School diploma or general education

At least three years experience working in the healthcare field or equivalent

Experience with electronic claim submission

1 year experience in the healthcare or accounting setting, or

3-5 year related experience (healthcare or accounting) preferred

1-3 years direct experience involving claims, insurance, or patient accounting preferred

Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)

Applicant has successfully completed medical coding and/or billing course(s)

Typical hours for this position: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm; No weekends or holidays

Verify WCVOs (date, PCP, codes), confirmation comments and communicate to management

Computer proficiency – knowledge of Word, Outlook, Data entry, etc.

Experience with Washington State Medicaid preferred

90% - billing Washington State Medicaid, 10% DSHS Commercial (United, Molina, etc) billing

Reconcile Medicaid and Medicare and other insurance company payments
