Day Rate: The offered day rate for the 3rd Assistant Engineer position is $603/day.

ABS Nautical Systems NS5 experience preferred

Five (5) years of experience in the above qualifications

Knowledge and ability to operate and monitor main engines and auxiliary machinery on ferry vessels.

Familiarity and experience with vessels of at least 200 feet / 800 tons.

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and growing a business unit or company (Turnaround experience is preferred).

Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of sales, marketing, operations, and finance (strong P&L oversight).

Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Knowledge of marine equipment products, technologies, and industry trends.

Salary: $110,000 to $180,000 (Depending on experience and if you have a book of business)

Time Management and Prioritization Skills

Truss and Panel Design: MiTek MBA, Management, SAPPHIRE, Engineering 20/20, Structure (SE)

Occasionally calculate and apply area load conditions as specified or required by local codes or jurisdiction requirements

Develop an in-depth knowledge of industry principles

Performs other duties as needed or otherwise assigned by Area Production Manager.

The ability to interpret architectural or structural construction plans as it applies to the components and structure to be designed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

If you are relying on your education to meet qualification requirements:

You cannot qualify on education at the GS-12 level; you must have experience.

Prepare dry dock schedules, cyclic maintenance requirements, and other advance planning as required.

You must meet specialized experience to qualify.

DEU REQUIREMENTS: Applicants selected under delegated examining procedures may be required to successfully complete a one-year probationary period (unless already completed).

Curriculum Vitae - CV must clearly list current and/or pending qualifications (e.g. board eligibility/certification, medical licensure, etc.).

Junior Specialist: Bachelors of Science degree with biology wet lab experience

Assistant Specialist: Either a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of research experience.

Hands on wet lab molecular biology/biochemistry experience.

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Experience in Microsoft Office or its equivalent
