High Diploma or equivalent qualification

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities

Students are unique individuals with varied talents and skills.

Have a minimum of three years of effective teaching experience

Have knowledge of the context and content area of the candidate’s teaching assignment

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

Have knowledge of state-adopted academic content standards and performance levels for students, and state- adopted curriculum frameworks

Have knowledge of beginning teacher development and has shown a willingness to work with new teachers

Have prior knowledge of California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP’s -- used in new teacher induction programs) (Preferred)

Experience working with high school students is a plus; Masters or PhD in science is a plus.

Mentor 3 to 6 high school students

Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where students can develop their sense of belonging in STEM.

Assist students in creating and presenting a scientific poster, talk, and paper.

Email and in-person check-ins with YI staff.

Attend mentor professional developments (PDs) and other required trainings for part-time museum staff.

Creates or facilitates learning experiences that support students ‘attainment of knowledge and skills.

Strong experience with distance education and distance learning students is preferred.

Displays a positive attitude toward change and supports change management practices.

Offers direct, comprehensive support, coaching, and guidance to a load of assigned students.

Monitors the progress of assigned students and offers proactive support and outreach to those students.

Maintains knowledge within assigned college and program.

Knowledge of word processing programs;

Acceptance to the UALR MAPH program.

Bachelor of Arts degree in History, or related field.

Participate in CAHC-led readings and discussions;

Serve patrons in the Roberts Library Research Room;

Ability to learn, install and run open-source software;

Maintain own advanced training and certifications e.g. A/C Section 609, welding, structural measuring, I-CAR, etc.

Conduct timely skills assessments for all trainees at specified intervals and enter into tracking system

Participate in scheduled remote team meetings to discuss student progress and program needs

Maintain training records for the purpose of reporting student progress to college affiliations and military requirements

Deliver and manage all instructional and hands-on training in collision repair to participants in TAP

Follow established program curriculum/skills assessment benchmarks to promote consistency throughout the program

Ability to earn mandatory CPR/First Aid certification
