Hours are subject to change to meet the needs of the University.

Must be able to work during adverse weather and other Energy Systems emergencies even if the University is closed.

Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience

Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) required

Pay Range: $ 28.30 - $ 30.00 per hour depending on experience

Perform preventative maintenance and repair on equipment such as laundry, kitchen, hospital, and air-conditioning

Clean/change filters, oil, and grease; adjust drive belts; inspect sprockets, shafts, and bearings

Assure adherence to safety rules and precautions

Develop solutions to repair and maintenance issues

Ability to diagnose Electrical / Electronic problems using schematic drawings and problem-solving skills and techniques.

Great communication skills to work with customers.

Ability to pass a skill-based assessment in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic engineering.

Qualified in company and regulatory safety training requirements to work in the railroad industry. (Advantageous)

Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to include,

Fault finding on electrical hydraulic & pneumatic systems.

Complete documentation of work assignments in a real time manner to aid in the configuration management of the facility.

Experience and knowledge using test equipment including common and special instrument and electrical tools.

Knowledge of computer systems and software.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong mechanical aptitude including an aptitude in math, science or computers.

A relevant Associate’s degree or a Journeyman’s License or equivalent certification is preferred.

Compensation starting at: $34.97 - 42.13 / hour and up dependent on candidate experience.

Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.

HVAC certification or maintenance experience.

Occasional sitting, below waist level work, balancing, carrying, reaching, fine motor skills, forceful motion, and lifting up to 60 lbs.

Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database.

Technical degree in a related field, journeyman's card, or five-plus years of related experience as an industrial maintenance technician (electrical/mechanical).

Broad knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, electronic controls and devices, and electrical/electronic theory.
