Provide clinical services to all patients on caseload and assist when needed with other patients as assigned by clinical manager.

License eligible, actively working towards licensure and/or certification in alcohol and drug abuse.

Minimum of 2 years experience in a behavioral healthcare field.

Experience working with substance abuse, addictions, mental health, cognitive behavior treatment and motivational interviewing.

Knowledge of utilizing electronic health record software and documentation.

Counseling experience with adults, an understanding of psychotropic medications and symptoms and effects.

Performs additional responsibilities, as assigned by department leadership.

3+ year of relevant experience (may include post-graduate training).

Diagnoses and counsels client(s) for psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues.

Maintains proper documentation required for therapy and administrative duties.

Develops, implements, and monitors individual treatment plans.

Refers clients for neuropsychological assessment when applicable to evaluate effectiveness of counselingand accuracy of diagnoses.

At least one years of professional experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.

Fluency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills. MET training is a plus.

One (1) year of experience providing SUD services in an inpatient or outpatient setting

Excels at leading groups both individually and with curriculum.

Fluency and mastery of motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques in individual and group formats.

Provide clinically supportive SUD services by facilitating therapeutic, didactic, supportive, and motivational groups.

Facilitate needed interventions for crisis-oriented issues utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach.

Participates in case management and care coordination, including utilization reviews and treatment team meetings

Experience in addiction/behavioral health environment preferred.

Working knowledge of CARF and/or JCAHO accreditation standards.

Knowledge of the 12-step, Smart Recovery, and other treatment models

Knowledge of Incidental Medical Services/MAT policies and procedures preferred.

Provide group and individual evidenced based therapy through modalities on a consistent basis with assigned clients.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:

Establishes and maintains contact with community resources to ensure continuity of care (e.g., case managers, rehabilitation and detoxification centers, psychiatric units).

Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops
