• Overseeing the legal team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff
• Managing the legal department budget and ensuring that all expenses are within budget
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Providing strategic advice and guidance to the legal team and other departments within the organization
• Negotiating contracts and other legal documents
• Representing the organization in legal matters
• Developing and maintaining relationships with external legal counsel
