Completes Educational Annual requirements – Minimum of 8 Continuing Education Units

Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:

Ability to use both consecutive and simultaneous interpreting skills when appropriate

Manage set-up and flow of communication to promote communicative autonomy

Manage daily workflow in Epic, Microsoft Outlook, and Teams

Manage and communicates unanticipated changes throughout the day.

Qualifications: Fluency in oral and written English and a target language(s)

Please indicate relative training and experience. We are looking for interpreters for all languages.

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Understanding of the key aspects of culture

Candidates must have valid California Driver's License, cell phone, and computer access.

Must have or willing to obtain current tuberculosis test and clearance, and background check.

One year of interpreter experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Current Team Members already certified under Tyson interpreter program or other language certification acquired through an academic organization will be preferred

Must have strong verbal communication skills in their dominant language and the English language

Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational, decision making, and follow-up skills

Basic computer and typing skills preferred. Must be able to assist team members with Workday

Must be able to pass the Interpreter Assessment with an average total score of 90% or higher

Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical and legal and educational venues.

Able to comply with credentialing requirements for independent contractors working in healthcare facilities.

Perform in accordance with the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations.

Perform interpreting duties in a professional manner.

Must demonstrate fluency in English and a 2nd language.

Must have flexibility to accept assignments during weekdays and business hours.
