Junior Wardrobe Assistant Jobs

Minimum 2-year theatrical costume alterations & wig experience.

Backstage wardrobe crew experience preferred.

Vision: Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

·Minimum 4 years sewing experience including:

oMinimum 1-year accessories and head piece maintenance experience, including backpacks.

oAppropriate costume care technique knowledge

1-3 years of relevant experience within Sample Management or working for a Stylist as an Assistant.

Support Wardrobe Sr. Associate & Manager with pulling pieces for trips, events, and shoots.

Assist with organization and tracking of wardrobes with 3,000+ pieces including apparel, accessories, and shoes.

Assist with the ordering and reconciliation of seasonal wardrobe.

Partner with sample team to fill wardrobe gaps.

Set up office for fittings/break down/ set up.

Fit and alter newly fabricated and purchased wardrobe and complex alterations to existing wardrobe. Assist Guests with Wardrobe needs.

Perform minor craft work (i.e., repair hats, affix patches etc.).

Assists in cleanliness and organization of the work areas.

Utilizes Garment Inventory System to perform accurate logging of daily work product.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Operate computer system portals and perform data entry as required to perform tasks

Experience working in a customer service industry preferred but not required

Oversee Portal operation to ensure a speedy check out process

Distribute appropriate uniforms to employees in a timely manner

Conduct quality control on all uniforms by conducting detailed inspections of uniforms

Move/transport all wardrobe related items throughout wardrobe areas as needed

Follows instructions from Leads, Supervisors, and Management with a positive and cooperative attitude

Preferred 6 months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Provides guests, clients, and team members with the best experience possible while providing excellent customer service and enforcing building policies.

Is customer-service oriented, with a fan-friendly attitude, and always gives a memorable experience

Guest Services Team Member Responsibilities

Monitors and tracks uniform inventory for all departments using Wardrobe Software

General knowledge of acceptable care guidelines for varying fabrics.

Candidate should be detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.

Must possess interpersonal communication skills; must feel comfortable interacting with all types of guests and cast members.

Launder wardrobe and costume pieces daily according to recommended guidelines.

Repair costumes including sewing, patching, and stain removal.

Assemble costumes from design patterns.

Manage costume and prop inventory

Ensure proper costume storage and care

***This is a 1 Month initial contract position***

Mediate internal departmental issues between workroom, wardrobe running and stage management.

Work with stage management team to create quick change rehearsals as needed.

Coordinate and collaborate with Stage Management staff to provide costume information, rehearsal pieces and obtain costume change and running information.

The ability to successfully collaborate with designers, directors, department heads, stage management, and others team members as required.

Create and manage Wardrobe labor budget for each production.

Manage Wardrobe staff in line with IATSE 887 and Seattle Opera policies.

Organizational skills, basic computer skills required, knowledge of excel preferred.

Experience using PeopleSoft and InvoTech software preferred.

Maintains uniform inventory in the Uniform Inventory Software System, recording all uniform issuance, returns and disposal.

Compiles information, completes and submits reports as needed in Excel format.

Ensures proper distribution of wardrobe items to Team Members in accordance with policies and procedures.

Must follow safety and health guidelines.

Have knowledge of all music, promotional or special events in the house

Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROS

Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent

Anticipate and respond to guest needs

Assistant with all aspects of wardrobe changing

Organize and prioritize artist needs

Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.

Experience with Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

Superior written & verbal communication skills.

This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.

Active knowledge of dresser duties including but not limited to:

Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Basic knowledge of sewing repairs such as attaching a button or mending a tear

Create and perform cue track as written and document any cue changes.

Assist performers with wardrobe and quick changes before and during performances.

Maintain and integrate the costume designer’s concepts for the successful operation of the production.

2nd Wardrobe Assistant- Less than 5 years’ experience is acceptable.
