Junior Scientist Jobs in Illinois

Certification in, or at least 1 year of applied experience with, R or Python for data science

Experience gathering, cleaning, and analyzing structured and unstructured data

Experience performing statistical analysis on quantitative datasets

Experience delivering briefings to stakeholders throughout project lifecycles

Familiarity with requirements analysis and managing stakeholder expectations

Experience authoring basic SQL scripts to select and retrieve datasets via Oracle SQL

Begins to develop skills and knowledge base to work on technical skills independently

0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience working as a data scientist/analyst.

Bachelor's degree in data analytics or three years experience in data analytics

Strong system analysis skills – data interpretation and explanation of condition, trends etc.

Excellent oral, written and communication skills.

Eexperience with Microsoft Excel, BI and other data visualization tools. VBA is a plus.

- knowledge and experience in statistical methodologies, especially probability, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and causal inference

- Understanding of project management principles

- Manage IT tickets for simultaneous projects and tasks

- Maintain proper project documentation (Project scope, business requirements, workflow charts, data mapping, etc.)

- Practical experience querying and analyzing large datasets using SQL
