Junior Construction Inspector Jobs in New York

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or NICET Certification, and experience with highway and/or bridge construction as follows:

Experience with NYSDOT SiteManager reporting software a plus for DOT projects.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and any special requirements

Operational knowledge of field inspection equipment

Good oral and written communication skills

Level II Inspector : minimum of two years’ related experience.

Maintains a centralized project management scheduling system for all construction projects.

A bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field

Four years of progressively responsible experience in building inspection or construction.

Skill in using a computer and modern office suite software.

Certification as a Commercial Building Inspector from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).

A high school diploma or a Certificate of General Educational Development (GED).

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management a+

6+ years of experience in building construction trades including residential construction (finishes and applications)

Knowledge of construction materials, methods and procedures

Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications and generate changes to the scope of work as required

Strong written and oral communication skills

Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications

Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Strong written, verbal communication, and collaboration

Manage multi-disciplinary construction project schedules including design, engineering, construction, and integration of major sub-contractor’s schedule

1-4 years scheduling experience for commercial construction projects.

Experience using Oracle Primavera (P6).

Experience with cost/resource loaded scheduling

Project scheduling using Primavera P6 software in developing design and construction schedules for medium and large Commerical projects
