International Student Information Specialist Jobs

Ensures counseling services for international students meet ICE/SEVIS requirements.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) institutional compliance and reporting requirements pertaining to immigration regulations and processes for F-1 international students.

Worldwide educational systems and curriculum structures for the proper review and evaluation of international student applicants.

Applicable laws, regulations, standards, and/or requirements.

Manage, implement, and evaluate internal student marketing, recruitment, enrollment, and support activities.

Manage and prioritize work, projects and/or programs within established deadlines

Possess knowledge of information systems security design and maintenance, fault isolation, performance monitoring, configuration management standards, principles, and techniques

Ability to assess, implement, and maintain DoD Risk Management Framework and information systems security requirements and standards of practice

Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports for obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.

Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and recommends additional security requirements and safeguards where required.

Familiar with and have basic operator skills with Microsoft Office and administrative level skills with Microsoft SharePoint

Strong interpersonal skills, be customer oriented, and must operate independently

Equivalent to two (2) years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.

A Master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.

Must be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (SEVIS requirement).

Experience working with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) compliance issues/processes in a campus-based International Student Services office required.

Processes university transfers, full-time enrollment, travel, extension of stay, reinstatement, change of status, reduced course load and leave of absence requests.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong interpersonal and time management skill

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Database skills and scanner knowledge

Two (2) years’ experience in Education or related field

You will share educational information with parents, Choctaw students, and school personnel at parent teacher conferences, school visits, and college/career fairs.

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field

Knowledge and ability to work with appropriate hardware and software applications

Education/Experience Preferred For An International Student Leader Specialist

Pay range is typically between $24,960 and $72,800 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors

Work to develop international staff in leadership skills

Identify individuals with international student experience and recruit for key partnerships and to serve in strategic roles such as board members

Enjoys working with people and has strong interpersonal skills, especially when addressing a dissatisfied student or volunteer

· 3+ Years Experience as an IMSO

· Experience with FMS Case Student programming and tracking in support of DoD Security Assistance programs

· Experience with large US Navy training programs with international students

· Must have a Secret Security Clearance

· Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks and effectively schedule required deliverables, meetings, and follow-up actions

· Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
