Injection Molding Engineer Jobs in Georgia

4 to 5 years of experience performing similar molding responsibilities.

Knowledge of process troubleshooting using scientific molding methods.

Knowledge of injection molding machinery, control systems (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic).

Knowledge of material handling/auxiliary equipment, dryers, conveyors, Etc.

Advanced knowledge of auxiliary equipment (mold temperature controllers, hot runner controllers, sprue pickers, robots).

Advanced knowledge of building maintenance systems (Water Tower, Central Chiller, and Air Compressors).

2+ years related experience in plastics processing or post-secondary Degee/Certificate in related field

Knowledge of operation and maintenance of injection molding equipment a plus.

Functional knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.

Executes Injection Molding processes in support of the R&D product/process development groups.

Operates injection molding machines and all auxiliary process equipment as required.

Develops and maintains molding processes and makes adjustments as needed.

Work with more senior IM team members to learn about daily pad quantities required and production methods involved.

Will fulfill basic role on production line to ensure daily quotas are met.

Will stack pads for preparation to forklift for transport without breakage.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Direction is given by shift lead and supervisor. Must interface with other hourly production team members.

Responsible for supporting Injection Molding operations by inspecting, assembling and packaging product associated with operating all Injection Molding and Secondary processes.

Verifies and approves finished product by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and conducting re-work.

Set up and startup of all injection molding machines, basic troubleshooting and complete required documentation
