Responsibilities

  • Follow all Safety and cGMP practices.
  • Adherence to all quality policy and procedures including ISO 13485
  • Capable of safely completing mold changes and machine repairs as needed.
  • Document and verify that the machine cycle, cavitation, and set-up parameters are correct, find root cause if not correct.
  • Proficiently and safely perform mold PM’s per procedures. Safely monitor and repair all auxiliary equipment.
  • Work with the maintenance department to identify any problems with machines and/or equipment.
  • Document performance of machines and any adjustments made.
  • Proficiently and safely perform machine start-up, shut-down, color changes, and any other necessary processing changes to ensure that the machines are running at the proper efficiency and that the product is in conforming.
  • Work with the QA department to prevent any nonconforming product.
  • Safely maintain machine cleanliness, and perform mold, machine and equipment repairs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of blue prints of part drawings.
  • Knowledge of process troubleshooting using scientific molding methods.
  • Accurate and attentive to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP system within the molding function.
  • Knowledge of material handling/auxiliary equipment, dryers, conveyors, Etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic core pull systems/safety limit switch and sequence.
  • Advanced understanding and use of measuring tools and devices to measure plastic parts.
  • Knowledge of injection molding machinery, control systems (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic).
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of Hot Runner / Valve gate systems.
  • LSR/Medical Molding Experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of auxiliary equipment (mold temperature controllers, hot runner controllers, sprue pickers, robots).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Scientific Molding or related course work.
  • Self-directed with teamwork and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively (written & spoken) as required for job related communication throughout the organization.
  • Mold set up and use of standard tools and methods.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience performing similar molding responsibilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of building maintenance systems (Water Tower, Central Chiller, and Air Compressors).
  • Ability to work in excess of a 40-hour week if necessary. flexible to work different shifts as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically word and excel.
