3) Utilizes the infection prevention software for surveillance and works to develop proficiency in its many functions.

6) Participates in hospital, statewide, regional and national committees

8) Serves on hospital/system-wide committees as indicated to provide infection prevention input, and promote safe practices.

9) Provides Infection Prevention and Control oversight of outpatient locations

12) Monitors for appropriate Disinfection and Sterilization practices in designated locations

Education, training, experience, or certification in infection control

Conduct annual risk assessment with consideration of served populations, regional vulnerabilities, relevant statistical data, in the clinic-based healthcare environment

Participate in infection control activities such as lectures, conferences, and other educational activities/trainings

Solid facilitation, coaching and problem-solving skills that enables teams to understand how to improve and work towards common goals

Certified by the National Certification Board of Infection Control or eligible for certification within 3 years of hire

Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control policies, procedures and practices that are scientifically based and consistent with national infection control standards

Collaborates with employee health personnel on matters such as exposure management and immunization.

Works with facilities management and other personnel to evaluate infection risks associated with renovation and construction projects and identify control measures.

If not nursing degree, other healthcare related field with APIC Certified in Infection Control or similar certification and/or training/experience
