EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

Familiarity with the moves management process and strategies of gift solicitation with a particular emphasis on major gift donors

Ensures that proper donor acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship occurs in a timely way according to BSWH guidelines. 5%

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working knowledge of prospect research tools available and knowledge of how to access and use those products

Experience with Raiser's Edge is a plus

At least 5 years’ experience as a professional fundraiser

Position: Senior Development Officer – Fundraising, Giving and Philanthropy

BS or BA in related field

Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills; proven presentation abilities

Manage portfolio of prospective and current major donors, grantors, corporate partners

Work closely with team to build out planned giving program and manage current Legacy of Hope Society members

Experience with Raiser’s Edge is preferred

Prior fundraising experience not required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Participates in the long-range planning for the portfolio managed.

High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.

Computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Minimum of 1 years of experience including customer service, retail or tourism experience is preferred.

Develops a caseload of active major gift prospects; sets and carries out strategies for solicitation of those prospects.

Achieves annual fundraising and activity goals of $250,000 to $1,000,000 in new commitments.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

No experience required but sales and/or telemarketing experience a plus.

Student Philanthropy Officer - Call Center

Must be an enrolled UK student.

Sunday – Thursday: 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Tracks moves management and solicitation in department database.

Serves as effective spokesperson of Planned Parenthood by establishing knowledge on current local and national issues related to the mission.

Works with other members of the Development team to ensure accurate donor records, pledged bequests, and gift acknowledgement procedures.

Maintains job knowledge by attending meetings and trainings as required.

Assumes other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Develops strategies to ensure the effective and timely cultivation and solicitation of major gifts and/or planned giving activity.
